A Week Of Water:Day 5 – Dress Down Friday!

Friday, yeaay!

At last I can almost hear some of you saying, its the weekend and it’s time to boogie! Ok, whilst dancing and moving to those funky tunes, tank up :-) with a glass of water before you hit the town and some ‘wellness at leisure.’

Remember that small and large amounts of Alcohol=dehydration. So please drink up – water that is. :-) x I will discuss this phenomena in my next blog. :-) xlol

This morning, I had the great pleasure of communicating with my sister. She informed me that she has been doing the water challenge that I set this week and has spread the word about the water challenge to people around her. I’m amazed and delighted at this. My sister has an incredibly busy life and works very hard for an oil company in Nigeria, supports and encourages her lovely husband studying for his PhD in Dundee and is mum to my nieces aged 12 and 11 and my nephew who is now 15 months :-) :-) :-) x Phew!

Like so many working mother’s, she has to organise her day quite well, so that she meets all of her obligations without tearing her hair out. As she lives in Lagos where the city’s traffic congestion has to be seen to be believed, my girl has to prepare herself very well ahead of time. I take my hat off to you Eleanor :-) x Love you to the moon.xxx :-) x

I have also had a few phone calls this week from friends that have participated in the week of water’s 2 litre daily challenge and it’s been fascinating to hear of improvements in skin, a lessening of headaches and an improvement in bowel motility and function. This has warmed my heart and I have to say a massive well done to these gorgeous ladies: Anne-Marie, Val, Annika and Mariéme for sticking with it. You girls rock! I’m sure that I will get some more phone calls and emails from friends across the water, too, over the weekend. :-) :-) xlol

For the lovely Clare Evans, who was the first lady to comment on my blog this week, I thank you and hope that you managed to sustain your 2 litre daily water challenge? And Sally Grindley reminded me that my love for mint tea could extend to aloe blossom tea! Wow, I was intrigued and I’m vigorously searching, courtesy of my friend Val. :-) (she knows about these things, you see). And for all my readers out there, who have kept it going, well done – 2/3 more days to go! Nearly there! :-) :-) :-)

If you decided to start today on dress down friday, that’s great too, I will be very interested to hear how you get on and will extend this blog until Tuesday next week to review any comments that stand out and to figure out what the prize is and who it goes to – yes. Oops, I’ve let the cat out of the bag.(oh no!) :-)

Until tomorrow, have a great evening and be kind to yourselves as always. :-) x

Many blessings

for all the sister’s this week (including the ones in this blog) :-) x…..

A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.

And to my sister :-) x……

There is no better friend than a sister. And there is no better sister than you.
