Hi Richard,

Thank you for your beautiful comments about genius. Mozart is one of my favourite composers as he represents a certain lightness and joie de vivre for life and so using him in your example is perfect.

In essence, within your craft, you are a genius at asking the questions which help people move forwards. So you are seeing the genius in other's through your questions, right?

Enjoy your evening.

Kind regards and many blessings

always

It's very difficult to define "genius" in the arts, given the enormous scope for personal taste to cloud one's judgment. As a lifelong follower of "classical" music I do consider Mozart to have been a genius, but having had a closed mind to pop music for many years (I'm more open & receptive now) I don't really know enough about MJ's contribution beyond reading what others say. I must add that, taking what "they" say at face value, and looking at it in the context of my relatively limited knowledge of his music, he has made a substantial contribution to pop.

What I find more worrying is stories suggesting that he was driven by a domineering father, for whom nothing was ever good enough. To what exetent does this lie behind genius (or perfectionism - not the same but related, perhaps)? I believe that Mozart's father, Leopold, was quite pushy too.

Coincidentally, there was a period when my hairstyle (maybe 'style' is pushing my luck, LOL) encouraged a number of people - both friends and complete strangers - to dub me "Einstein". Well, let's be honest, I could have been called worse!!

Finally - to answer your question, Liz - my strengths are in and around the fields of maths and creative but logical thinking; I guess this is just as well, given that I work in IT, building database systems!

Definition:
someone who has exceptional intellectual ability and originality; "Mozart was a child genius"; "he's smart but he's no Einstein"
brilliance: unusual mental ability
ace: someone who is dazzlingly skilled in any field
exceptional creative ability
flair: a natural talent; "he has a flair for mathematics"; "he has a genius for interior decorating"

I don't think I (being very British about it) would claim anything beyond the final definition.

I am very good at asking question which help people move forwards, helping them clarify the essence of their issue and gaining insight about their options
